As a man, you can’t be stifling your woman’s gifts and expect her to be the women you meet in the course of your job. Those women are being cheered by their men. The annoying part is that many Nigerian men are controlling in relationships instead of being lovers.

You can’t confine her to the role of a house help alone and expect her to help you build your company. You won’t even entertain her suggestions. You don’t listen to her. You discard her opinion with a wave of hand, and yet, you blame her for not contributing to building your dreams.

What you give is what you get, don’t forget that. You can’t keep criticizing her poor choices to everyone you meet. You are one of her choices remember. And if she ended up with you, it means you are in her league, so stop putting her down.

If you keep bringing down your wife, you are killing her slowly and then she won’t have the strength to take on the world like the other women you see, admire and long for. You must be her greatest cheerleader if you want her to be the best.

If you want her to do better, be better. Polish her rustiness. Stop putting her down. Remember that the grass is not always green at the other side. The grass is green where you water it. Water your woman and release her to be all she can be. You will be happier for it and your fellow men will envy you for it.

Don’t listen to men who tell you not to allow your wife become successful, they are dream killers. These men are so insecure that instead of seeing their wives as their helpers, they see them as competition.

They want you and your family to remain in the same level as them. Build your woman up, don’t tear her down. Your life will be better off for it and she will be happy too. Think about it.

As women learn how to please Nigerian men, these men should reciprocate too by supporting the dreams and aspirations of their women. It is not a crime.

When it comes to Nigerian men and marriage, a lot still needs to be done because the scenario is different from Nigerian men and dating periods. The controlling traits of some Nigerian men after marriage is scary, things need to change.
