Harnaam Kaur receives Guinness World Record for youngest woman with a full beard
Harnaam Kaur has broken barriers by embracing her beard, and now she’s achieved a world record too.
Harnaam Kaur is a female model with beard and long hair. In a world where women with beards are being looked down upon because they are different from others, Harnaam Kaur is not letting her bearded face stop her from achieving greatness.
Hanaam has PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) which causes her excessive hair growth. It must be hard for her to come to terms with having a full beard because of her condition but she’s not letting it get to her.
24-year-old Harnaam Kaur is a body positive activist. She is also a Guinness World Record holder for the youngest woman in the world to have a full beard. It is an unusual feat for a young woman to embrace something that is considered abnormal.
“Now with a beard measuring as long as six inches in places, she overcame years of bullying to take ownership of her appearance and achieve this record title at the age of 24 years 282 days,” her record citation reads, according to the Huffington Post.
“I am super proud to hold this record,” Kaur shared on Instagram. “The inner child in me is so pleased. I grew up reading [The Guinness World Records book] – I even tried breaking some of my own records wanting to be in this book. It is amazing to be valued and celebrated being a Bearded Lady.”
“I hope those who read or see my record can take away positivity, inspiration and realize that no matter who you are or what you look like, you are officially amazing!”
Harnaam Kaur is one of a kind. She is exhibiting so much positive vibes that other women like her have no choice but to embrace themselves totally because every woman is beautiful in her own way.
