This phrase is keeping many young ladies away from their family and friends these days.

Many of them dread this question. It has become a thorn in their flesh. It is tiring for them to keep responding to these many questions.

Marriage is good. Being in a loving marital relationship is great, but hounding ladies about settling down with men who disrespect them is a great injustice to them.

When ladies specify the kind of men they want, they are taunted by people who remind them that age is not on their side.

They are advised to settle down with any man that they come across just to escape menopause.

When they say they are not ready to go into marriage, they are reminded that a woman is incomplete without a man.

No one cares to find out what these ladies truly want for themselves. It seems everyone around them wants to tell them what to do and who to marry.

It’s really no one’s business when someone plans to marry. Women should be allowed to make that decisions themselves.

Ladies shouldn’t be stampeded into bad relationships because they want to escape the pressure from family and friends.

Many ladies are afraid of marriage because of the state of marriages they see around them daily.

Some of them are not even considering marriage after witnessing kind of marriages their parents had, yet society is hounding them to go get married.

Many Nigerian ladies are tired of answering marriage questions from their parents, uncles, friends and colleagues as well as church members.

Even strangers too ask these ladies when they are getting married as if it is their business.

But why do many Nigerians put unnecessary pressure on ladies to get married?

Is marriage the ultimate thing in life?

Will these ladies marry themselves?

Is happiness, peace and unity no longer important when it comes to marital relationships?

With domestic violence on one hand and spousal betrayal on the other hand, how do people still hound singles to marry just for the sake of getting married?

When will singles be allowed to truly live their lives?
