Why is it that when a man dies in Nigeria, his wife killed him, but when a woman dies at the hands of her husband, it’s an accident?
We see this scenario play out almost all the time. Whenever a man dies, his family starts throwing dirt on his widow.
From calling her names to insinuating she killed her husband.
Then they mete out inhumane treatment against her all in the name of trying to get her to prove her innocence.
Why are wives who died suddenly not killed by their husbands?
Why are men who beat their wives to death defended with lame and annoying excuses?
Why are the women the first to accuse another woman of killing her husband and the father of her children?
Why are women the greatest promoters of patriarchy?
Why is it that in Nigeria when:
A man dies of sickness, his wife killed him.
A man dies after an accident, his wife killed him.
A man dies fighting another man of his many side chics, his wife killed him.
A man hangs himself, his wife killed him.
A man is kidnapped and killed, his wife killed him.
A man slumps and dies at work or in his business place, his family point fingers at his wife.
A man dies while fucking his girlfriend, his wife killed him.
But when a woman dies, it’s a natural death.
When a woman dies from domestic violence, she talks too much. Nigerians start asking what she did to deserve being beaten to death.
Why is it that when a woman dies at the hands of her boxer husband, it’s an accident. he didn’t mean to kill her.
why is it that when a woman is beaten and macheted by her husband’s family and she dies, it’s an accident. They were just correcting her.
What is wrong with us?
Why are women being accused of things they don’t know but men who commit crimes are being excused?
Enough already!
Women, rise up for yourselves.
Start defending yourselves.

Its a sad reality many women face in marriage.
