I don’t think men and women are equal says Tiwa Savage

8

Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has ruffled some feathers while talking about gender discrimination.

Savage who spoke on the Midday show on The Beat 99.9FM with OAP Toolz says that gender discrimination is real. Even though she’s not completely comfortable with it but it is what it is, she stated.

According to her, “If it means you have to work 10 times harder than your male counterparts, don’t complain about it, do what you have to do.”

“We all celebrate people like Oprah and Mo Abudu and we don’t actually realise what they have to do to get to that point. They probably had to do 20 times than their male counterparts. Once you get there, you don’t complain about how you get there. So, whatever it is you have to do as a female, you just have to get it done.”

But she went ahead to ruffle some feathers regarding the equality of men and women at home.

Tiwa speaks on Gender Discrimination

Tiwa Savage said: “I don’t think men and women are equal, I don’t think that’s how God created us…especially in the household anyway. So I think as females when we realise that yeah we can be strong in our career, but when we are home we have to realise that the man is the head of the house.”

She also said that she and Tee Billz “are doing what they are doing privately and it should remain private” as a response to Toolz’s question on whether they are back together.

She lamented that women are being seen as wrong when issues arise in relationships whether they are right or wrong.

I don’t know why Tiwa is singing a different song now but when she and her husband were washing their dirty linen in public and tearing at each other, she didn’t remember he was her head.

Tiwa Savage, please stick to your head and stay away from gender equality subjects. You know nothing about it.

I regret supporting her during the edible caterer episode. She’s as confused as she’s clueless. Let her talk about songs and leave issues of gender discrimination and equality alone.

Ad a woman you cam work 40 times more than the male counterparts to put food for him on the table yet you ate not equal at home. I pity for her.

    1. Kate says

She should just face her music and leave gender equality alone.

I getvit now, I don’t have to read the whole stories. She’s retarded, after getting a goid head, after licking her plate and picking his teeth with tooth pick, why won’t her br yanning dust. Hwr wound have healed abi. That a man has come to his senses and apologises doesn’t mean he won’t step on his brain and misbehave again. Idiot and nonetity.

    1. Kate says

Don’t mind her. She has forgotten so soon.

  5. Amaka Ejimonye says

Her choice, her life. She should keep her opinions to herself and stop distracting her fans with her life choices. There are vulnerable women out there listening and trying to walk her path. So, she really needs to be very careful with her ultrances.
