I can’t count how many nights I cried myself to sleep -Omoni Oboli

Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli has had difficult times in life. She has cried herself to sleep many nights like some of us.

Even when things were tough and she was struggling to make ends meet, she didn’t give up on her dreams.

Omoni is encouraging people who are going through hard times and don’t see light at the end of the tunnel. She’s holding their hands in solidarity and giving them hope you keep fighting until they win.

In an Instagram post this morning, Omoni Oboli revealed that keeping a positive outlook on life no matter what you are going through helps you overcome difficult moments.

Omoni Oboli faced difficult moments that made her cry herself to sleep many nights

She said:

“What a day to be alive! You are here amongst the living for a reason.

Things are tough? I know the feeling. Struggling to make ends meet? Believe me, I have the battle scars.

Cried yourself to sleep last night, I can’t count how many nights I did that.

The one thing that I know is keeping a positive outlook through it all, helps a great deal.

Keeping hope alive even when it seems hopeless is paramount.

I am a firm believer in the fact that, when you have hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up.

So chin up, leave self pity and self doubt street and move to hope, faith and perseverance street.

Get up and put those ideas to work. You will win.

I’m steady working on my ideas and dreams and going all the way to the top because winning is in my DNA.”

I truly understand what she’s saying. Sometimes when you have been through many difficult moments, you even find it hard to maintain a positive attitude to life.

But I have learnt over the years that feeding negativity, self doubt and self pity causes more harm to your psyche that the difficult moments you are going through in life.

Life is a journey. It is a journey that is different for everyone. So, focus on your life. Stay on your lane. Feed your mind with positive thoughts and tell yourself daily that it is not over until you win.

See you ladies at the top. No matter how difficult things might be now, you will make it.
