Memo to Nigerian pastors

It is no longer news that some Nigerian pastors have turned the church to a place of disrepute because of their immoral and irresponsible lifestyle.

It is no longer news that some pastors are sexual predators who prey on little boys and girls and defile them while hiding under their religious cloaks.

It is no longer news that some ladies have escaped being raped and used as sexual slaves by these pastors who claim to be anointed and hear from God.

Below is a timely memo for Nigerian pastors from a woman I love and respect so much.

Anthonia Ojenagbon wrote:

As we prepare for tomorrow’s church service please note this dear man of God and stop disgracing Christ. Seek help and stop bringing disrepute to the name if Christ.

Memo to Nigerian pastors

There is a certain level of morals expected from you if you call yourself a pastor or a bishop. You cannot continue to ruin lives and bring disrepute to the name of God.

Do you know how many lives this sexually perverted men have ruined? Do you think it is a joke to survive rape?

The most despicable is the man who has sex with his own biological child for years and still goes to church to lift up unholy hands, he still preaches every Sunday.

Incest is the most common form of sexual abuse. It is sad how many fathers have broken the hearts of their daughters before any man will ever do so.

Dear female enablers, we also shame and name you this year so get ready.

Dear pastors and bishops, you are human first you are not God, if you were molested while growing up, seek help, don’t pray it away.

We have trained counsellors, psychologists, therapists, and emotional intelligence coaches you can speak to and get help.

We will no longer condone this bad behavior from you. You cannot continue to bring shame to the name of Christ, do the needful and get help.

Do you know how many rape, incest, and molestation survivors who have backslided and don’t even want to hear the name of Christ because of you? Is God proud of you right now?

You cannot continue to ruin the lives of young girls and boys who are entrusted in your care. For your information, you are not just accountable to God alone, you are accountable to man.”

Dear pastors, change for the better.
