Dear Nigerians, who told you people that feminists don’t have sex with men? Who told you that feminists don’t have sexual relationships with men? Who told you that feminists don’t get pregnant or have children?
This display of ignorance from perceived educated folks about Vlogger Grace Ajilore who got pregnant is nauseating. I mean what is actually the problem with her getting pregnant even if she’s a feminist?
If you believe feminists shouldn’t have relationships with men, enjoy sex or get pregnant, your foolishness is on per second billing.
The problem some noise makers have is that they think women must put up with anything that has a penis just to be seen as good women.
Once a woman keeps calling out misogynists on their bullshit behaviour, they expect her not to have anything to do with men. You people are not okay.
One lady even said she had been declining men all year because of Grace and now she’s pregnant. She said now that Grace is pregnant, she feels played.
I mean, what brand of foolishness is this? Why should you be declining men because of another person? Don’t you have sense?
The fact that someone keeps pointing out the acts of misogyny and telling women not to accept less than deserve in relationships doesn’t mean the person is not in a relationship.
One person said she didn’t tell ladies to stay away from men, she was focused on teaching women how to set standards in their relationships and not put up with anything just to be in relationships.
How does that translate to she hates men and shouldn’t be having sex with a man? How does that translate to not having sexual relationships with a deserving, sensible and loving man?
How does being a feminist mean not having sex with men? What is wrong with some people? I don’t understand the women bashing this lady for deceiving them.
The annoying part is that some people, especially Nigerian men actually know what feminism is but they love pushing their misogynistic narratives just to further spite women by feigning ignorance that feminists love men and have sex.
A feminist is someone who supports the idea that women should have the same rights and opportunities as men. Where does this translate to hating men, not having sex, not getting pregnant and not getting married?
