Women, stop investing in men more than you invest in yourselves

Dear Nigerian women, stop investing in men more than you invest in yourselves. You have to learn to put yourselves first and stop holding on to disrespectful men.

Build yourselves. Invest in your well being. Make money. Cultivate healthy friendships. Let go of the need to be in relationships at all costs, it’s not healthy.

Make your lives great so that when you start dating, a man won’t become the only thing you have going for you.

Have a life. You can’t make another human your all in all and still complain when they treat you badly.

What is your passion? What are your dreams? What plans do you have for your life? Where do you see yourself next year, in two years time, in five years time and in the future?

Nigerian women should stop investing in men more than they invest in themselves

What are you doing with your talents or have you locked them up so you can be with a man? Have you lost who you are because you want to be in a relationship?

Dear woman, you have suffered enough in your relationships. You have gone through enough heartaches. You need to slow down.

You should consider that maybe for now, your happy ending doesn’t include being in a relationship.

Maybe it’s you, on your own, picking up the pieces of your life and healing your heart and soul.

Maybe you just have to start over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future and letting go of the hurts.

Maybe your happy ending is just moving on and not looking back to that place where you were broken.

Maybe your happy ending is in you valuing yourself more and doing better in your next relationship.

You need to re-strategize and empower yourself. You don’t have to jump from one relationship to another looking for happy endings.

Maybe you need to love yourself more and refuse to settle for less than you deserve. Think about these things. Create a good life for yourself first.

Invest in you and the right man will come and treat you like a Queen that you are. Don’t settle for less. Stop investing in men more than you invest in yourself. Stop it!
