A 15- year old rape victim committed suicide because her mother kept calling her names and blaming her for getting raped.
One mistake this girl made was telling her mother, the one who was supposed to love and protect her that something terrible happened to her.
Instead of her mother to comfort and help her teenage daughter heal from the terrible pain of being raped, she became a thorn in her flesh.
She violated her own child over and over again until this girl couldn’t take it anymore. She decided to end her life instead of reliving the trauma of her sexual violation through her mother’s unkind and insensitive words.
This is sad and heartbreaking story the same time. A twitter user with the ID Teegold (Jesus Junkie) shared this story and it is generating a lot of reactions from Nigerians.
She said:
“A 15 year old girl that lives in my area was raped last month when she went to their hometown for Christmas. The only mistake she made was telling her mother as she insults her every now and then. She even threatened to throw her out of the house if she gets pregnant.
Someone like me wouldn’t have known about the rape if not for how the mom insults and calls her names. So literally, most people know about it.
To cut the story short, the girl committed suicide last night. I don’t know if it’s because of the shame or because she was tired of being insulted and called unprintable names by her mother. ”
This woman in this heartbreaking story is not fit to be called a mother. Which sane mother blames her teenage daughter for getting raped?
In this world that mothers have become hawks to protect their children from rapists and pedophiles, this one killed her daughter because of her silliness. I hope she’s happy now.
Rest in peace little one. May you find rest with God. May that animal who took you forcefully die a slow, terrible and painful death for taking your innocence and ultimately, your life.
Mothers, stop calling your daughters names if something bad happens to them. Love them. Soothe their pains and help them overcome the trauma. That’s why you are a mother.
