Happiness doesn’t come being married or from your spouse. Happiness comes from within you. If you are not happy as a single woman, you won’t be happy as a married woman.
For starters, not every woman wants to get married. It’s our society that unnecessarily pressures some women into marriages. Deep down, these women don’t see themselves as wives or mothers.
Ghanaian actress,Vicky Zugah echoed my exact thoughts on the issue. She took to social media to share her thoughts on marriage and happiness.
According to the actress, she is in no hurry to get married as not every woman is destined to get married.
Zugah, a single mom of two, shared this during a Facebook Live video saying:
“Happiness comes from within and not from a marriage or your spouse. Not every woman is born to marry. Some women want to have a good career and travel around and be happy.”
“I would rather be single than to be married and be miserable. Looking at the divorce rate out there, I think I am okay being single right now,” she said.
Speaking on societal pressure to settle down, she said: “The pressure is everywhere and it’s not funny anymore. Some women won’t marry because they haven’t found the right person and that is what I want people to understand,” she said.

It’s funny when some people claim that single ladies are unhappy because of their marital status. The way these people go about this marriage thing, you will be forced to think they are being paid when two people get married.
Dear single ladies, don’t allow anyone tell you that your happiness lies in marriage or in a relationship. You are the architect of your own happiness. You are the one who should create your own happiness.
If you don’t want to get married, don’t allow this society pressure you into a dysfunctional and unhappy union. Own your happiness ladies.
