Dear woman, you don’t have to accept things that hurt your soul because you want to remain in a relationship.

You don’t have to put up with disrespect, lies and emotional abandonment because you want to prove you are a wife material.

It is your responsibility to evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of your relationships. You don’t have turn a blind eye just to be accepted.

You don’t have to passively accept what your partner offers you if you are unhappy and miserable.

You can choose what you want. As a matter of fact, you have the power of choice. You can determine your happiness if you so desire.

Stop acting helpless. Stop holding on to someone who’s draining you emotionally and mentally. Stop hurting yourself.

Being in a relationship shouldn’t be hard

I put up a post saying that you don’t have to complain about things you don’t like and things that are hurting you if you refuse to make a change.

A woman came under the post to say that she wished it was as easy as I made it look. I told her that life is whatever she makes of it.

She said it’s not easy to make such decisions when other people are involved. I told her that I don’t care about what other people think about my life. I do what’s best for me before thinking about others.

She responded that many people will tell you to think about the children before taking major decisions. I responded that I do what’s best for me.

I take care of myself and my sanity first. If I don’t take good care of myself, how can I take care of my children?

Women, no matter how society emotionally blackmails you to continue enduring abuse and maltreatment because of your children, you have to sit down and tell yourself some hard truths.

If you don’t take care of yourself, how can you take care of your children? What are you teaching them? What examples are you setting for them regarding life, self preservation and relationships?

Think about these things. Why do women put up with abusive and controlling men just to remain in a dysfunctional relationship? Just why?
