In 2019, I believe that it is time for us to do away with unprofitable friendships and associations in whatever shape, form or manner.
By unprofitable, I don’t mean in terms of money or other benefits, because that’s essentially what drives most “friendships” these days .
I’m talking about those friends that add REAL VALUE to our lives, be it lending us money to start or grow a business, providing creative solutions to our problems, providing a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on in tough times and so on.
Real friends go all out to help you out, one way or the other, not minding whether it is convenient or not or whether they can afford to or not. That should be our individual and collective goals in this year.
In 2019, get rid of Beer Parlor Friendship Associations, Backbiters Anonymous Unlimited, Unfriendly Friends United Associations, Procrastinators Incorporated, Dream Killers PLC, Irresponsible Religious Beliefs Propagators, Bitterness R US incorporated and Village People Helpers Associations.
Define your personality, your aims and objectives, your execution strategies and court people who fit into the ecosystem that you are trying to create and who can help you achieve your dreams and aspirations a lot faster.
It is not selfishness, it is not self centeredness, it is simply about creating a self nurturing, functional and value-driven ecosystem that works for you.
Removing negative people and negativity in any shape and form is the first step on your path to greatness. Don’t apologize to anyone for looking out for yourself, you owe it to yourself and generations yet unborn.
In 2019, realize and understand that an eagle that spends most of its time with chickens will never achieve its full potential!
Let’s keep striving for perfection and get rid of our need for constant external validation, as we continually strive to be who God has called us to be.
