Don’t let the narrative of women hating women stop you from getting women friends. If you are a woman, get you some female friends.
If they mess up, try again. Keep trying. But be sure you have one or two female friends in your circle. People you can lean on or fall back on.
I read some hide my identity stories sent in by women and I go “does this person not have a friend to drag her out of this or tell her this is a no-no?”
I see women who say they hate having female friends cos women are this and that. They prefer male friends.
Sigh.
I know that is valid but you are allowing one or two bad eggs make you miss out on a lifetime of bliss.
You don’t know where to find a good friend? What of Facebook? A lot of amazing female friendships started here. Some friends fall out, but most stand the test of time.
I see some Joro posts and I say “what this woman needs is not even a good boyfriend, it is a good girlfriend to drag her out of that situation”.
Cultivate healthy female friendships, dear woman. You need to see where my friends and I talk. About our future, our finances, existential crises, plans, relationships, etc.
The best support system you can ever have is a group of friends rooting for you, planning your life with you, ready to tear down any wall of Jericho in front of you and buying your fight.
Get you some female friends, it will change your life. I promise.
