Sometimes, you need to stop seeing the good in people and start seeing what they show you.
You need to stop believing that everyone you meet in life has a good heart like you and will treat you the way you treat them.
Some people are not always who they pretend to be. They can tell you what you want to hear but their hearts are not with you. Experience taught me this.
Don’t believe everything someone tells you. Watch their actions instead, it reveals more than words.
What someone shows you is much more important than what they tell you. Words can be very deceptive but actions don’t lie.
Be wary of people who only tell you what you want to hear. It’s so easy to believe someone when they are telling you exactly what you want to hear, but you have to watch what they do too. Actions speak louder than words, actions speak the truth.
Everybody deserves somebody who helps them look forward to tomorrow. If someone has the opposite effect on you, because they are consistently inconsistent, and their actions never match up with their words, it might be time to let them go.
It’s always better to be alone than to be in bad company. So, don’t just listen to what your lover says; watch what they do over time. They will slowly reveal themselves.
I have told myself not to get carried away by the sweet talks of other people because I have discovered that some people who are good with flattery words are users.
They just want to butter you up for when they will start asking you for favors. They will pretend to be your friend not because they love you but because they want to use you to get something.
The funny thing is that they will be happy with you for as long as they can use you. When you put your feet down and refused to be used anymore, they become your enemy.
These same people won’t give you anything but they will always expect you to meet their needs whenever they arise. If you love yourself, stay away from users.
Overtime, you start to realize that a lot of things are not worth stressing over. The more you live, you discover that a lot of people aren’t worth the stress.
You start craving peace over toxic, meaningless and emotionally draining friendships and relationships. You protect your sanity.
You also learn to value your peace and expend energy on things, people and relationships that only bring you peace. This is how to live life purposefully and intentionally.
You really need to stop seeing the good in people and start believing what they show you. Be wise and alert to avoid stories that touch.
