Reno Omokri said that ladies who claim they can’t marry poor men are talking from a place of poverty and lack.
He wrote:
“I can’t marry a poor man is a symptom of poverty. Women who grew up in wealth usually don’t have that kind of mentality.
They know how to make money so money is not their focus. What you will hear them say is ‘I can’t marry a man who doesn’t love me.’
That is why as a man, you must refrain to using money to attract women, otherwise, you may end up marrying a woman who is only marrying your money, not you.”

My take on this:
This guy loves to hear himself talk sha. Do we now say that men who insist they can’t marry women who don’t know how to cook are hungry?
Do we now say that men who insist on marrying women who are beautiful are insecure and have low self esteem?
Why do Nigerian men have a problem with women stating what they want in men they wish to settle down with?
Why is there so much unnecessary talk whenever a woman declares she won’t marry a poor man? Is it by force to go through life with a man who doesn’t have money?
Men don’t have issues outlining the qualities they want in potential life partners but once a woman says she won’t go near a struggling man or a poor man, these same men will start convulsing and start speaking unnecessary English.
The same men who make so much noise about not marrying women who won’t cook, clean and wash away their destinies just to prove they are wife materials will start threatening women with eternal single lives once they state the kind of men they won’t marry.
Reno Omokri should leave women who won’t marry poor men alone. They have a right to make their choice. If it hurts you so much, ask yourself why this is so.
Nigerian women have the right to refuse to marry poor men. They have the right to marry rich men. They have the right to dream about living in wealth and enjoying money. It is not a crime.
