Nigerians are asking for justice for Comfort Otega Benjamin, a girl found murdered in Jos on her 16th birthday.
On May 23, photos of the celebrant were shared online, with loved ones asking for help in finding Comfort, who was supposed to be celebrating her 16th birthday. They said she had left home on May 22 and didn’t return.
Sadly, on the evening of May 23, her body was found at Nasarawa Gwong in Jos North. She had been raped and murdered.
She has been laid to rest but family and friends are demanding that the perpetrators of the heinous crime be found and punished accordingly.
Twitter users are asking that the culprits be fished out and made to face the consequences of their actions.

“Imagine what this nation is turning into simply because perpetrators are not punished. God, look at somebody’s daughter, sister, cousin. There is a video from India that is trending for sometime now of a full grown man raping a 5 year old girl. Within 15 minutes of the action, the court decided that the man should be publicly executed and that was what happened. The man was executed in the full eye of the public and his family members present, there after they used a crane to pick his useless body and lift it up for all to see.
Please, it is high time such a treatment become the world standard for rapists who rape and murder their victims. Human life is now worth even less than a penny in this present generation, yet lawyers all over the world with each country claiming to have laws in place to fight sexual assault against women and girls.”
