10 benefits of skipping that will improve your health

I joined a challenge two months ago where members of a fitness group did a 1000 skips a day and I felt so good.

You can also do variations of jump rope exercises to help you burn more calories. You can hop on one feet; sway from side to side or do high knees during skipping. These are some variations you can adopt for a stronger you.

How long should you skip for if you decide to incorporate this exercise in your fitness routine?

You can start by jumping rope for a minute and increase it as time goes on. It’s all about body movement, so you should challenge yourself when skipping. Push yourself to jump for a little longer.

1000 skips a day is good as long as you are on a weight loss journey but it is not enough to help you lose weight. It is advisable to combine 1000 skips a day with body weight exercises, strength training and healthy diet.

You should know that food plays an important role if you want to lose weight. If you do 1000 skips a day and don’t watch what you eat, you won’t lose weight.
