10 things you should know about Nollywood actress Damilola Adegbite

Damilola Adegbite is a Nigerian actress, entrepreneur, model and television personality.

Below are 10 things Nigerian women should know about Damilola Adegbite:

1. Damilola Adegbite was born on May 18, 1985. Her Mum was a teacher and her father, a civil servant. She was born into a family of four.

2. For her secondary education, she attended Queen’s College, Yaba. Subsequently, she proceeded to Bowen University, Osun state, and bagged a degree in Business Administration.

3. While in Queen’s College Yaba, Adegbite served as the Vice President of the school dramatic society between 2001 and 2002. As a teenager, she was part of her church drama group.

4. Adegbite’s career began shortly after she wrote her final exams at the University. Her aunt (Ethel Ekpe) informed her about an audition and she decided to give it a shot. Luckily, she was selected and given the role of Telema Duke in Tinsel – Mnet’s first multi-camera production.

Thereafter, she worked as a red carpet host and program anchor for Sound City Television from 2008 – 2010. While she was there, she interviewed celebrities on the red carpet at high profile events. She also anchored The Chatroom and Global Countdown.

5. She came to limelight after her debut in Tinsel, MNET’s Production where she played Telema Duke (2008-2012).

Following Tinsel, she starred in blockbuster movies like 6 Days to ChristmasFlower GirlBanana Island Ghost and many more. She won Best Actress in a TV Series at the 2011 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

6. In August 2014, Adegbite got engaged to Chris Attoh, a fellow actor she met on set of the soap opera Tinsel. In September 2014, the couple welcomed their son Brian.

7. Damilola Adegbite and Attoh married privately in Accra, Ghana on 14 February, 2015. In September 2017, news broke that Adegbite’s marriage to husband Chris Attoh had crashed.

In 2019, The Nollywood actress and entrepreneur revealed that she is not ready for a boyfriend – girlfriend relationship but really craves companionship.

According to the actress, despite being divorced for two years from Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh, she still doesn’t feel like dating anyone. The mother-of-one added that she is rather seeking a companion not a boyfriend.
