Happy Father’s Day to me and all the responsible fathers out there -Mercy Aigbe
Nigerian actress and mom, Mercy Aigbe has wished herself and other responsible fathers a happy Father’s Day.
The actress revealed that God has been gracious to her since she takes care of her two kids all by herself.
She gave herself a pat on the back for shouldering the financial responsibility of her children including changing naira to dollars for her child studying abroad.
She sternly warned Nigerians not to tell her about how she shouldn’t take shine off Fathers.
According to Mercy Aigbe, Fatherhood is beyond just impregnating a woman. She noted that if you are a man and do not perform your responsibilities towards your kids, you ain’t fit to be called a Father.

“Happy Father’s Day to me and all the responsible fathers out there! 2 Kids (1 international student) ….changing naira to dollars with this dollar rate! Abeg it’s not easy! but God has been Gracious.
Please no one should come and tell me how I shouldn’t take the shine off Fathers oh! (Fatherhood is beyond just impregnating a woman, if you are a man and do not perform your responsibilities towards your kids, Biko you ain’t fit to be called a Father and that’s on Period!!!!)…
So, since I am playing the dual role in my children’s lives, allow me celebrate myself everyday! Cos it’s not easy!
May the lord grant us long lives, in good health to enjoy the fruit of our labour.”
Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh also took to Instagram to celebrate herself for being a great Father to her son Andre.
Nigerians have started reacting to their posts. While some women are in support of both actresses wishing themselves a Happy Father’s Day, some men are angry that they don’t allow Fathers celebrate their Day in peace after many Mother’s Day celebrations.
