Is there summer love in the air for Zendaya and her Spider-Man costar and friend Tom Holland?
Page Six recently shared pictures of Zendaya and Tom Holland out and about in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 1, and when they pulled up at a red light, the two seemingly shared a sweet kiss, with Tom gently reaching up to stroke Z’s face.
Tom Holland 25, and Zendaya, 26, were photographed sharing a passionate kiss in Tom’s $125,000 (£90,000) Audi car in Los Angeles as they stopped at a red light, before pulling away and making cute faces at one another.
In addition to the smooching pics, the actors were also spotted hanging out with Tom’s mom, enjoying the day in casual clothes, adding fuel to the ongoing fire of romance speculation.
Tom and Zendaya have long been the subject of “are they or aren’t they?” dating rumors, ever since they starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming together in 2017.
At the time, Z dispelled rumors to Variety, saying, “He’s a great dude. He’s literally one of my best friends. This past how many months we’ve had to do press tours together. There’s very few people that will understand what that’s like at 20 years old.” The pair also shot down rumours that they had gone on vacation together.
For some years, the two have played hype man for one another’s careers and teased each other on social media (Not to mention performed on the most epic Lip Sync Battle of all time!) They’ve been quick to squash any dating rumors, but these new photos could be a hint at their current relationship status.
Both of them have dated other people in the interim, with Tom coupling up with model Olivia Bolton in 2019 untill they split in April 2020, while Zendaya was linked to her Euphoria castmate Jacob Elordi on numerous occasions between August 2019 and March 2020.
They are not the only Spider-Man co-stars who have seemingly entered into a romance off-screen too, as Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire began dating while shooting 2002’s Spider-Man, but split before 2007’s Spider-Man 3.
They are yet to comment publicly on the pictures or address the wild response from fans – with the pair trending ever since the pictures first dropped.
