A Facebook user Chukwudi Mmesoma popularly known as Somack is counting her losses after trusting a Facebook friend wrongly.

Chukwudi Mmesoma wrote:

“Bring your hammer if you want and hit me on the head with it, for trusting someone who was supposed to be a friend!

I also take full responsibility for not knowing better about NDAs and contracts, but this has been a learning curve and I’ll definitely do better, henceforth.

Now, this is what really went wrong.

Barimike signed me up as their Ambassador, months before they signed Ada Bekee. Mind you, Ada was my friend. I was extremely happy for her. I was happy that my friend and I will be working for the same brand.

I picked up my phone and called Ada to congratulate her. She said thank you. I was excited because it was my friend that I was speaking with.

I talked about how the extra 100k monthly added to her salary and other hustles will go a long way. Ada said yes o, thank you! I had no idea that her pay was different.

Few hours later, she chatted me up and asked for a favor, I replied her with Nwanne m go ahead, and this was because I truly considered this woman to be a sister.

She asked to see my own part of the Contract, I knew it was a breech of Contract, but we are on the same brand and I figured this was my supposed sister.

I didn’t feel anything was amiss. How would I have known that the supposed sister of mine, will stab me like this?

In retrospect, I should’ve known better about contract confidentiality, even if we work in the same office.

I honestly didn’t think of it in that way, even though I knew it was a breach as nobody should see my contract.

Figuring she just wanted to compare terms, I munched it and showed her, and told her I have breeched my contract like this. Ada never mentioned anything to me again.

She did not tell me that her price was even different. To show you the level of trust, I didn’t even ask. But what did she do?

This woman carried my contract and sent to Barimike to ask why she was paid lesser than people she has more followers than.

She felt she deserves better than me, because she has more followers and engagements, yet, you did not tell me that foolishly sent you my contract and told you my price, because you are my friend?

You used to call me Sis, is that what Sisters do to each other?

Well, I have learnt my lessons, keep your friendship with people out of your business and Contracts. I will do better with contracting, henceforth.

We all learn something new, all the time. It’s sad that it had to take something like this, to teach me.”

The said Facebook friend Adaobi Amadi whose former Facebook name is Ada Bekee dropped her own post in reaction to what Chukwudi Mmesoma posted earlier.
