Actress Mary Remmy Njoku took to her Instagram page this morning to advice women of this generation to make money.
In her post, the mother of three pointed out that women should ensure they are working and earning a living before waiting for ”somebody’s son to find them.”
She also mentioned that men do not have the monopoly of making money. She made it clear that she is disappointed at the choices some women of this generation make.
The actress made reference to the story of a lady who went on a trip with a man outside Nigeria and was forced to move her ticket forward after she refused to have sex with him.
Mary Remmy Njoku wrote:
DEAR SOMEBODY’S DAUGHTER
HAVE A SOURCE OF INCOME. EARN A LIVING. MAKE YOUR OWN MONEY. DON’T RELY SOLELY ON GIVEAWAY. PLSSSS!
SO YOU CAN CHOOSE WHO YOU WANT TO BE WITH. DON’T LET HUNGER/BILLS CHOOSE FOR YOU.
I read something online and it’s disturbing.
Women are not sex toys. We have sex because we enjoy it too.
And shouldn’t be forced by ‘house rent’ to do things we don’t want to do.
Hustle Sisters, Men don’t have the monopoly of making money.
You carry babe go one week trip. She no gree do. You post her pictures online because you buy ticket. Sisters of this generation dey disappoint with their choices sha.”
Financially independent people are confident and capable of making their own life decisions.
Most women are pressured to make decisions according to the will of their parents or husbands.
If you are financially independent, it will give you confidence and make you strong to control your life.
This is why women should earn their own money and stop banking on lousy men with leaky mouths and stinking attitude to take care of all their bills.
As a woman, it is important for you to have your own money because money gives you the power to pursue your dreams.
Having money makes it possible for you to start a business, build a dream home, pay the costs associated with having a family, or accomplish other goals you believe will help you live a better life.
