Dolly’s special day was celebrated by the likes of goddaughter Miley Cyrus, fellow country star Reba McEntire, movie star Reese Witherspoon and many more on social media.
But it was Dolly’s own post that brought the most cheer, as she joked to her fans that she was ‘just hangin’ out in my birthday suit!’ alongside a picture of her in all-pink.
Hours later, the Jolene songwriter added: ‘Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes.’
Miley, 29, posted an old clip of when the singer appeared on Hannah Montana, where she joked about hiding her phone in her hair because her jeans were too tight.
‘One of the many invaluable lessons learned from @dollyparton,’ Miley wrote, adding: ‘Happy Birthday Aunt Dolly!’
Reba, 66, gave a nod to one of Dolly’s biggest hits, writing: ‘Happy birthday @DollyParton !!! I will always love you. Hope you’re taking the day off from workin’ 9 to 5! ButterflySparkling heartSparkles #happybirthdaydolly’

Jimmy Fallon also gushed on Instagram: ‘Happy birthday to the supremely talented, insanely funny and most gorgeous crush a talk show host could have @dollyparton.’
