Netflix‘s To All the Boys star Lana Condor has revealed news of her engagement to partner Anthony De La Torre with a series of stunning photographs capturing the happy couple in a professional photoshoot in the woods with their dogs.
Sharing the exciting news yesterday (January 28), Condor said that “saying YES was the easiest decision I’ve ever made”, before continuing in the caption:
“I consider myself the absolute luckiest woman alive to live in your sphere. Aside from my father, without a doubt, you are the greatest man in the world. Emmy and Timmy said it’s about time mommy and daddy got engaged!!!”
She also praised De La Torre for collaborating with a Vietnamese female-owned jewellery brand to design the ring, acknowledging how important that is for her personal story.
“The fact he knew how important it was to me that he’d collaborate with a Vietnamese company to help design my ring is a testament to just how truly thoughtful he always is. I cannot wait to be your wife, baby. I love you a million times over.”
The post also includes a short clip showing the emotional moments directly after the proposal, in which Condor can be seen holding her hands up to her face in shock and gazing adoringly at her ring, exclaiming: “Oh my god… You’re my fiancé”.
In his own post De La Torre revealed how long he had been waiting for this moment: “I’ve wanted to do this for 6 years. The easiest decision I’ve ever made was to ask this angel to be my wife.”
To All the Boys trilogy author Jenny Han was among those to celebrate the happy news sharing: “I am so so so happy for you guys. My heart is bursting! [heart emojis] CONGRATULATIONS!!!”.
Meanwhile, it was announced last year that Netflix would be producing a spin-off TV show for To All the Boys, focussed on Condor’s character Lara Jean Covey’s younger sister Kitty, played by Anna Cathcart.
