Nicki Minaj to release new Lil Baby collaboration ‘Do We Have A Problem’ this week
Nicki Minaj has announced details of a new collaborative single with Lil Baby – ‘Do We Have A Problem’ is landing on Friday (February 4).
Taking to Twitter on January 30, the singer shared a new photo of her spread out across a bed, alongside the caption “2.4.22,” hinting at a release date of this Friday (February 4).
She’s also shared photos of herself and Lil Baby, alongside the track’s title, and revealed that a trailer for the song will drop on February 1.
The LaGuardia High School Performing Arts alum gets back in her acting bag in the cinematic clip, which co-stars actors Cory Hardict and Joseph Sikora and was inspired by one of her favorite movies, Salt starring Angelina Jolie.
The material follows the track ‘Boyz’, a collaboration with former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson, which came out last October.
While speaking to fans on Instagram Live, Nicki praised Lil Baby’s rap skills. “He pleasantly surprises me all the time,” she said. “This particular record was just another moment when you could just tell the difference when somebody know they’re here for a long time. The way he pushed his pen, I loved it. He bodied, bodied, bodied.”
“Do We Have a Problem?” arrives on Pink Friday, Feb. 4, and is the first offering from Nicki’s upcoming fifth studio album. She also teased a second collaboration with Baby.
“When Lil Baby and I did the first song, it wasn’t either of our favorite songs so we ended up doing another song,” she revealed. “But then, when we did the other song, the other song grew on us… You guys might be in for a real special treat.”
With Nicki’s new single on the way this Friday, it appears promising that we’ll get a new project from her in the coming months.
Last year, Nicki re-released her breakout mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty including three new tracks, “Seeing Green” ft. Drake and Lil Wayne, “Fractions” and a remix of Skillibeng’s “Crocodile Teeth.”
