Lindsey Pearlman, a TV actress who appeared in “General Hospital” and “Chicago Justice,” was found dead on Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. She was 43.
An update posted to the LAPD website reads, “Today around 8:30 a.m., Hollywood Area officers responded to a radio call for a death investigation at Franklin Avenue and North Sierra Bonita Avenue.
The L.A. County Coroner’s Office has since confirmed the individual to be Lindsey Erin Pearlman. The cause of death will be determined by the coroner.”
Details surrounding Pearlman’s disappearance and death were not immediately available.
Pearlman had previously been reported missing by her family and friends. According to the LAPD website, she was last seen on Feb. 13 at 12 p.m. in the 1600 block of N. Mariposa Ave. in Los Angeles.
Her cousin, Savannah Pearlman, tweeted on Feb. 17 that the actress was “last pinged on Sunset blvd.”
Savannah confirmed Lindsey’s passing on Friday, writing on Twitter, “I’m deeply sad to report that they have found Lindsey, and it was too late.”
A “Chicago-bred actor,” according to her IMDb page, Pearlman had appeared in multiple television shows since 2015, including “Empire,” “Chicago Justice,” “Sneaky Pete,” “American Housewife,” “General Hospital,” “Selena: The Series” and “The Ms. Pat Show.”
Most recently, Pearlman played the role of Karen in “Vicious,” a show streaming on Urbanflix. According to her IMDb bio, she was a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and received the Joseph Jefferson Award for an actress in a principal role, for her work in the play “Never the Bridesmaid.”
Parent Trap star Elaine Hendrix shared her grief at the news on Twitter and paid tribute to the star on Friday, writing: “Thank you to everyone who shared Lindsey’s missing person report.
On her website, Lindsey was described as an “accomplished commercial actor” who graduated from the Second City Conservatory program and received improv training at Upright Citizens Brigade.
While working in Chicago, she appeared in theater productions of The Mousetrap, Trevor and Never the Bridesmaid, which earned her a Joseph Jefferson Award for Outstanding Actress in a Principal Role.
