As the 2023 election draws nearer, reality TV star Ifu Ennada said that ”Thunder will fire” any celebrity that will collect money to campaign for ”useless candidates”.

Ifu Ennada stated this on her IG page. She added that Nigerians celebrities who are used to selling their destinies during Nigeria elections need to do better.

Ifu Ennada wrote:

“Lots of you go on vacation to exotic countries countries that have a good working system. I’m sure if you’re non-Nigerian, Nigeria will be the last place you’d want to vacation because of how everything is m*ssed up.

Yet every election season, some people,  especially celebrities manage to sell their destinies in exchange for temporary financial comfort. You all need to do better.

To those who are always on the fence during elections and never vote, this is not the time to be neutral.

Cost of diesel has gone crazy, there’s no fuel, electricity has always been paralysed from day one.

How will the poor survive? How will businesses survive? I am tired of suffering in my own country. Something has to change.”

Growing up, Ifu Ennada felt men were monsters and because of the way the country was run by men and how paedophiles got away with their crimes, she’s scared of bringing children into this world.

“Do you know that sometimes I imagine myself having kids through a surrogate just so that I don’t disrupt my life and future with the problems that come with being in a relationship with a man?”

“But can anyone really blame me? I grew to watching and hearing countless news of 72-year-old men raping 3 year-old-girls and getting away with it. Sadly, this is still a norm in my country.”

Ifu Ennada added that she grew up in an environment where men beat their wives for no reason just to prove a point. “I still can’t tell what the point is. I have suffered a variety of abuse in the hands of relatives, a former employer and even people I trusted.”
