Ben Affleck’s daughter Violet skipped his wedding with JLo to show loyalty to mom Jennifer Garner

Over the weekend, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez exchanged vows, but their wedding party was missing one important member, Violet, the eldest daughter of Affleck.

In order to show respect for her mother, Jennifer Garner, the ‘Argo’ star’s oldest daughter, Violet, 16, reportedly skipped the Las Vegas wedding last weekend. A source told Page Six, “Violet stayed home because she’s extremely loyal to her mom.”

The source also claimed that Affleck had informed Garner about the ceremony at the last moment. The source said, “Ben did tell Jen about the wedding, but I’m told that it was only Friday at the earliest.

It was very, very minimally planned in advance and was largely spur-of-the-moment. [Lopez] has been ready to get married since the night that Ben proposed. She wanted to lock this down and remove any chance for cold feet ASAP!”

Even though Violet didn’t attend, two other Lopez-Affleck kids were there, Sera, 13, whom Affleck shares with Garner, and Emme, 14, whom Lopez shares with ex Marc Anthony. The ‘Marry Me’ actress posted a photo of Emme at the wedding on Sunday, July 17.

A source reportedly told Page Six that Sera was present. However, there was no explanation provided as to why Affleck’s other children Sam, 10, and Max, 14, Emme’s twin, weren’t present for the wedding.

While the two were exchanging their wedding vows, Affleck’s former wife Jennifer Garner was completely unbothered during a trip to Lake Tahoe. But now, we’re learning even more about what Garner knew regarding her ex’s wedding.

According to a source who spoke with Page Six, Affleck gave Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children, some notice about his impending nuptials. “Ben did tell Jen about the wedding, but I’m told that it was only Friday at the earliest.”

Given the spontaneity of Affleck and Lopez’s Vegas wedding, the very last-minute nature of Affleck’s heads-up isn’t too surprising — though we can only guess that Garner might’ve appreciated a bit more time to process what has quickly become a media and pop culture fixation.
