Popular social media influencer, Amanda Chisom, has been reportedly arrested by the police over her alleged involvement in a “N50bn” Ponzi scheme.
Amanda’s arrest followed a petition filed against her over the defrauding of unsuspecting investors by one Marksman Chinedu Ijomah, the founder of Chinmark Group and all the ambassadors who helped him convince the public to invest in the scheme, by a Port Harcourt-based lawyer, Azubuike Ihemeje to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Nigerian Police.
She was actually picked up on Tuesday morning from her residence by a team of crack detectives after her arrival from her ponzi sponsored vacation trip.
According to a Facebook user, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, she was arrested by men of Interpol for the role she allegedly played in the Chinmark’s heist, her former boss, Chinedu Ijomah (Chinmark) who is on the run is being tracked too and will be arrested very soon.
It is just unfortunate and my heart goes out to the victims of the famous Chinmark’s heist.
To my brother and senior friend, Azubuike Ihemeje, well done in all you are doing.
The job you are doing to sanitize the society from the influence of charlatans is a thankless job but history will forever be kind to you.
