Women are not safe anywhere in this country. It doesn’t matter if a woman is single, married, divorced, or widowed, Nigerian men have been raised to feel entitled to women bodies.
This is why a man will always expect sex in exchange for helping a woman. This is why most men who claim to want to help women will tell them that nothing goes for nothing.
These men who have no respect for women and their bodies are everywhere waiting for opportunities to pounce on women and rape them. They do this because they know that this society doesn’t care about women and their safety.
Whether married or single, Nigerian women are not safe around men. It is such a sad reality but men prey on women and sexually assault them daily without stiff punishment handed down to them.
