Former p.0.r.nstar-turned-fashion designer Lana Rhoades explicitly states she is “asexual” and wants porn to be “illegal.”
Rhoades, 26, has become extremely vocal about her opinions since leaving the adult film industry only eight months after she joined at age 19.
Rhoades, who welcomed her first child in January 2022, during an appearance on The Skinny Confidential podcast spoke candidly about her career as a porn star.
She declared, “I don’t think it’s helpful for anybody,” citing the stark contrast between her perceptions before and after engaging in porn.
Lana Rhoades claimed that she had no idea what she was getting into when she started making porn, saying, “I also had only slept with one person at this point. So, I was very sexually inexperienced.”
Rhoades continued, “That’s why and for whatever reason I never comprehended like to do porn you actually have to have sex with people. It’s just the idea of, oh okay, I’m going to be like Anna Nicole Smith or I’m going to be like Holly Madison or this person it was like an idea in my head but I wasn’t mature enough to realize what actually went into it. And very, very quickly I realized this isn’t for me.”
Unfortunately, Rhoades soon came to understand that porn was a “job” and that she had no control over who she had sex with. “I mean, essentially you’re having to have sex with people that you didn’t choose to have sex with that you might not find attractive you might actually think that they’re disgusting and you have to have sex with them because it’s your job,” she said.
Rhoades continued by saying that she believes the industry places young women in a precarious situation, “How should a 19-year-old girl be put in that position having to have sex with people that they don’t really don’t want to touch their body at all.” She started creating lingerie and apparel after her time in adult films, and has successfully maintained her financial status.
The former p0rnstar began a new phase of her life after saying goodbye to the adult film industry. Since then, she has grown a considerable fan base across a variety of social media platforms, including Instagram.
Lana Rhoades revealed on the Barstool’s BFFs podcast that she became a multi-millionaire after leaving the adult film profession during a financial discussion.
