Abimbola Ogbonna, Wife Of Lagos Businessman IVD Dies Days After She Allegedly Set Herself Ablaze
Abimbola Ogbonna, wife of popular Lagos car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, better known as IVD, has d!ed days after she allegedly set herself abl@ze at their Lekki home.
Her sister, known as Mamajazz on Instagram confirmed her passing on social media some hours ago. She noted that IVD k*lled her sister after subjecting her to years of be@tings and emotional abuse.
According to recent reports, Bimbo was rushed to the hospital three days ago after suffering severe burns during a violent incident involving her husband at their residence in Megamound estate, Lekki, Lagos.
Sources claimed Bimbo confronted her husband IVD on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, over the constant b€atings she receives, and a fight ensued.
The fight resulted in their house being set ablaze. IVD was said to have escaped with minor burns while Bimbo suffered severe burns and was rushed to the intensive care unit of Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos.
Sadly, this morning, news filtered in that she succumbed to her injuries after suffering a cardiac arrest. She left behind her siblings and five children.
Abimbola Ogbonna was a victim of domestic violence. Her demise comes after many years of physical abuse which she allegedly suffered from her husband and the father of her five children.
In May 2019, Abimbola Ogbonna regained consciousness after she was allegedly be@ten to a coma by her husband during pregnancy. She was 8 months pregnant at that time.
Then, on October 4, 2020, IVD released a video of him reconciling with his wife days after she released an exposé explaining how she suffered domestic violence from him for 19 years.
At one time, she posted a video on her Instagram stories stating that her husband Ikechukwu Ogbonna threw her and their children out of their home by past 11pm.
While family and friends mourn the young woman, more details are emerging about what happened to her that fateful day. Friends insist that she didn’t do that to herself and that her husband, who absconded since Wednesday should be held responsible for her death.
Her elder sister alleged that her husband set her on fire, watched her burn and recorded her writhing in pain at their home before she jumped into the swimming pool to douse the fire.
