Davido’s domestic staff in police custody over son’s death

Following the death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that all members of the singer’s domestic staff are currently in police custody.

The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this when speaking to newsmen on Tuesday morning after report of Ifeanyi’s death went viral.

Davido and Chioma Rowland were away from the house when the boy drowned in a pool at his father’s house in Banana Island on Monday.

The Lagos PPRO said preliminary investigation is currently ongoing to unravel what led to the boy’s death.

He said, “Domestic staff at Davido’a home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet.

“If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest”.

Related to this update, some Twitter users have called out Eniola Badmus for breaking the news of the death of Ifeanyi before her parents. They accused her of being a bearer of bad news and insisted that she should kept quiet.

Although the Adeleke’s are yet to make any official statement, several celebrities posted cryptic messages on their social media page, which many saw as a confirmation of the news.

Hours after the news broke, Iyabo Ojo, Ay Comedian, William Uchemba, Paul Okoye and several other celebrities all shared condolences.

Ayo Makun, in an Instagram post early Tuesday, wrote, “The death of a child is unnatural, unfair, and tragic, this hit me so bad.
