A bride recently chose to make a fashion statement with the colour of her wedding gown, and has gotten a lot of people talking.

While many women would wear white, cream, ivory or gold dresses, this bride decided to go go against the norm and wed in a black dress.

An Instagram video posted by the makeup artist shows the bride in a ball gown with long lace sleeves, having a special moment with her groom.

Some internet users took to the comment section to share their thoughts, many of whom were not fans of the bride’s choice of colour.

It’s like this lady doesn’t love the man and she doesn’t want the marriage to last. Why wear black on such a beautiful day? This is not a good omen.

Just one day to wear white and this lady changed it to black. It’s like she is a stubborn woman. Her husband doesn’t even look happy in the pictures.

I went to a wedding where the bride wore black. A couple of months later one tragedy after the other started happening in the family. My grandma was there and she said it was bad luck and so it was.

Since the white gown wedding is not lasting any longer, they should try the black gown wedding. Just saying to avoid the story that touches the heart.

Mindset is very bad, who says the wedding dress must be white? Any color is ok as long as the bride is happy. I wouldn’t mind ocean blue.

This is not good. Black is a dark colour spiritually and she may have tainted her marriage destiny by trying to follow a different trend. Rubbish.

Whit isn’t the only colour suitable for weddings. Black, blue, yellow, peach, pink and lilac can easily replace white.
Fashion is evolving everyday.

White was chosen because it connotes purity and innocence but how many of us deserves to put on a white wedding gown in the first place? Abeg leave the lady ,it’s her choice and she’s BEAUTIFUL.
