Wife Shares Notes On How Women Should “Serve” Their Husbands “In The Name Of God”
Lori Alexander is a Christian mommy blogger who runs a blog named “The Transformed Housewife”, and she’s been facing backlash recently after a series of her posts extolling the virtues of being a housewife were shared online.
“The Transformed Housewife” became “known” to the world of the internet with her controversial statements, and one of them was that “men find uneducated, debt-free virgins with no tattoos to be more attractive”.
Alexander writes from a conservative Christian point-of-view, and she had adapted to her identity as a housewife, stay-at-home mom, grandma, and homemaker.
She wrote that the reason she has chosen the title “The Transformed Wife” is because God “has transformed her and will continue to transform her into the godly woman that he has called her to be”.
Lori Alexander wrote about ideals regarding the “role” of a woman in a relationship in a series of handwritten posts, and they seem to come from the early 1900s.
To add to that, she believes that the assignment of this role of hers is supposed to come from a “higher” authority. I mean, take a look at the handwritten posts for yourself.
What many people noticed is that she believes that “equality and rights” is something bad, and she has this idea about chores being “woman’s work”.
Lori Alexander believes that if a woman has a dream or she’s passionate to do something, that should be ignored and she should just become a housewife if she ever “plans on getting married”.
She wrote that two-thirds of student loan debt is carried by women, but she believes that this is Satan’s work and his plan to keep women away from God’s plan. Yes, she really wrote this.
Even though many people were angry at her posts including devout Christians who think that there’s nothing wrong with a husband helping out around the house, there were many people who agreed with her outdated ideas.
