On the weekend of his nine-year wedding anniversary, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss danced with his wife and kids and was an epitome of joy. However, the final video he shared on social media seems eerie in light of the 40-year-old’s suicide.
He can be seen in the video grinning and laughing with his family as they promote goods on social media. In the video uploaded to Instagram and TikTok, he lifts his daughter into the air and swings her about happily.
While celebrating their anniversary, he posted a sweet message for his wife Allison Holker Boss with whom he had danced hand in hand, addressing her as “my love.” But three days later, Boss left his family home without a car and checked into a motel where he shot himself to death.
On December 10, Boss and Allison celebrated their anniversary. They were joined by their children Maddox, 6, and Zaia, 3. The couple marked their anniversary as husband and wife with sentimental Instagram posts and a collection of wedding pictures.
“Happy anniversary my love @allisonholker #9 years,” Boss wrote. In a slideshow film she created from her 2013 nuptials to Boss, Allison made a promise to never take their “love for granted.”
“It’s our 9th anniversary!! I couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate this perfect magical day!!! Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!! I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU,” she wrote.
Allison shared a snapshot of them dancing in front of their Christmas tree the evening before Boss left his LA residence.
Boss and Allison appeared to be having a good time as they practiced a dance to the song ‘December Back 2 June’ by Alicia Keys. “HOLIDAY SUNDAY FUNDAY DANCE!!! With my lover,” Alison wrote. Since then, the post has been swamped with sad memorial comments after the news of Boss’ death circulated.
Although it’s unclear exactly when Boss left his house, he checked into the Oak Tree Motel in Los Angeles on Monday, December 12. To see if any rooms were available, he called the motel on Monday morning at 9.20 am.
From his Los Angeles residence, he then took a 15-minute stroll to the motel. The DJ’s wife was left worried since he left his car parked at home. Boss checked into the hotel under his own name on the same date.
When Boss left without his car on and didn’t show up again on December 13, Allison started fearing the worst. Soon, the Los Angeles Police Department received a police report from her.
Later, Daily Mail was informed by motel personnel that a maid found Boss’s dead body in the bathroom while doing a welfare check after he failed to check out of the motel on time.
