A sperm donor, who has helped in the births of 70 children, reportedly said his services were comparable to “charity work” after meeting his biological children in Scotland.
A Los Angeles accountant, 31-year-old Kyle Gordy has helped create 61 children while nine women were expecting. He offers his sperm at no cost.
Over 150 families worldwide have benefited from his sperm donation, and he claimed he got about 50 requests for his services each month. Gordy has already met 11 children he has fathered, including those in Scotland and England. Among the nine expected, some will be born in France and England, per Cambridge news.
Gordy offered his sperm to “help single women and couples have children without having to go through a sperm bank and pay excessive fees,” per Dailyrecord. He continued by stating that he liked helping people and watching children grow up and be happy.
He said, “I enjoy helping people and seeing the kids grow up and seeing them happy – that’s probably the best thing about it. 61 have been born, and nine are on the way, but there may be one more that might be pregnant, so there’s around 70.”

Speaking about his noble venture, Gordy said, “It’s completely free. I just volunteer – charity work, I guess you could say. I don’t have a number that I’d like to get to, just whoever needs help.”
After making his first donation to a lesbian couple in 2014, he has been giving sperm donations for almost 10 years. He went added, “When people don’t need my help anymore, I’ll stop, but sometimes I travel so it hinders me from donating as much.”
Recalling his first donation, Gordy said, “Relationships weren’t working out and I wanted to help someone out that I knew. It came up in conversation, she said she was going to go to a sperm bank and I suggested she could get pregnant through me.”
‘I don’t ask for money’
When asked why he did take money, Gordy responded, “I think there’s a common misconception that there’s a lot of money involved. I don’t ask for money because I don’t believe it’s right. I want the kids to grow up knowing I did this because I wanted to help and not for the money.”
He then explained that donating sperm without making monetary gains made him feel good. “The men work at sperm banks for the money and are paid very well for it. Some locations would pay between $1,500 and $2,500,” he clarified.
Gordy has a website, through which people approach him. “People usually find me through my website or from people recommending me to friends. We talk about their ovulation and see if it’s even feasible but 90% of the people I talk to say it’s too far away,” he said.
“Out of all the 50 messages, I may end up donating to two or three. We do video calls for international ones to get to know each other more and then hopefully meet up and make it happen.”
