Paelo Marino is a 52-year-old woman that is determined to fight for her love with 24-year-old YouTuber Sadie Love, even though she says that she often feels “ashamed” for dating a woman only six years older than her own daughter.
It took a 20-year marriage and divorce for Paelo Marino, originally from Italy, to finally accept that she was gay and come out at the age of 45. She admits that she “freaked out” when she realized she had feelings for the 24-year-old Sadie, who came out at the age of 15.
Paelo Marino first met Sadie through work in 2015 in Toronto, Canada, where they both live now, and they first kissed on Valentine’s Day 2016.
She admits that being in a relationship with a woman 28 years younger than her is not easy, and she freaked out when she first realized she had feelings for Sadie.
She added that they have been mistaken for mother and daughter quite a few times, and it makes her feel embarrassed and ashamed.
Sadie, though, was quick to express her feelings, and she says that she’s “head over heels in love with Paelo”. She enjoys being in a relationship with her, and she doesn’t care about the age difference at all.
Paelo used to be married, and she also has a daughter. She says that she did what she thought of as ‘normal’, but she finally told her close family that she was gay in her 40s, and she adds that it was the most exhilarating feeling she has ever felt.
They accepted her, but her daughter has struggled with her relationship with Sadie, and it has been hard for her to deal with it.
Paelo and Sadie’s relationship was first spiritual, before it became physical. They started meeting up to work on a project Paelo was working on at the moment, and they were friends at first. However, they just clicked, and they still have a very strong spiritual connection, and the physical attraction developed organically a little while later.
The 28-year age gap felt like a moat between the two even for the more free-thinking Sadie, but their hearts ruled their heads soon enough, and they shared their first kiss on Valentine’s Day 2016.
