The official date for Helen Williams’ attempt to break the record for the longest handmade wig in the world has been announced.
Williams is a Nigerian wigmaker who recently received Guinness World Records’ approval for her application.
The CEO of Hair Rita 9ja shared a screenshot of the GWR email confirming the approval of her application for the record a few weeks ago.
Williams expressed her excitement about taking on the challenge of making the Longest Handmade Wig in the World using her experience as a wigmaker, wig instructor, and educator.
She has now revealed the exact date of the historic occasion.
The attempt is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 7, at 767 Lagos Abeokuta Expressway, beside Area 1 Estate Gate.
Sharing the post, she wrote;
“I was approved by Guinness World Records Few Weeks Ago for ‘Longest Wig In The World Attempt’. Initially, I didn’t want to announce it yet. I hope you all will support me.”
“As a wigmaker, wig Instructor and Educator, I will be taking up this challenge of making “The Longest Handmade Wig In the World”. This time I am not just making a wig but the Longest Handmade Wig In The World. According to Silvia Pencak, “Victories Aren’t Born On The Field, You Create them during Practice, Day In and Day Out”.
