Keke Palmer has seemingly indirectly responded to her boyfriend Darius Jackson shaming her over the outfit she wore to see Usher in concert.
Keke Palmer’s boyfriend isn’t gonna get a rise out of her — at least publicly — after he insinuated her choice of attire for an Usher concert wasn’t appropriate for a mom.
The “Nope” actress is telling the world she had no regrets following the very public remarks made by Darius Jackson, the father of her son, regarding her outfit while attending Usher‘s Vegas residency last weekend.
Keke doubled down on her sexy wardrobe selection in a recap on IG … that made no mention of Darius whatsoever.
Dropping different pictures with the outfit on Instagram, Keke Palmer wrote in the caption “I wish I had taken more pictures but we were running late! I am telling y’all right now, if you haven’t seen @usher YOU MUST GO!! HE WAS SO FABULOUS!! Giving theater, Atlanta downnn, tips and tricks and just absolutely iconic. I was truly inspired as a performer. I whooped some ass in spades too! Where is that pic of us all together with the King himself??”
The post follows Darius reportedly sharing a video of Keke at Usher’s show and tweeting “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom.”
In response to immediate backlash from people pointing out that a) Keke looks amazing, and b) moms can wear whatever they want, he wrote “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is. This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”‘
Keke and Darius have been dating since 2021, and met at a Memorial Day party hosted by Issa Rae and Diddy. The pair—who welcomed a baby boy in February 2023—tend to be pretty private, but Keke opened up on The Tamron Hall Show about becoming more and more okay with having a public relationship.
