Nigerian twin boys have reportedly turned down a reunion with their biological father after he suddenly reappeared in their lives.
According to @Ifeade_Lu on Twitter, the boys were raised by their stepfather, who lovingly treated them as his own after marrying their mother.
However, after both twins secured scholarships to Barry University in Florida, United States, their biological father tried to reconnect with them, but they rejected him.
@Ifeade_Lu, who is a friend of their stepfather, stated that she is very proud of him for stepping up and taking care of the boys when their father abandoned them.
She tweeted,
“A friend of mine got married to a single mother who already had two children, and together they also had their own kids. He treated her children as his own and gave them a loving upbringing.
Recently, twin boys received a full scholarship to Barry University, the biological father unexpectedly appeared and tried to insert himself into their lives.
The children firmly stated that he couldn’t just show up now, as their stepfather had been loving and present in their lives from the start. He had never missed a day and had taught them the importance of love and respect.
I am incredibly proud of my friend for taking on the responsibility of caring for children who weren’t his own. I’m proud of him. And I’m proud of the boys for not being ungrateful.”
