Kourtney Kardashian emotionally reveals she underwent ‘urgent fetal surgery’

On Monday, it was reported that Kourtney Kardashian was home after a brief hospital stay.

Last week, Travis Barker announced he was stepping away from the Blink-182 tour to rush home for a “family emergency.”

Now, Kourtney Kardashian reveals that she had to undergo “urgent fetal surgery” in an emotional post on her Instagram account.

“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” she writes in the caption of her photo, where she’s seen holding Barker’s hand in a hospital bed. “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”

On Friday, September 1, Blink-182 confirmed the postponement news on Friday in a message on their Instagram account.

“Due to an urgent family matter, Travis has had to return home to the States. The Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin shows are being postponed. More information in regards to his return to Europe and rescheduled dates will be provided as soon as available,” a post on Blink-182’s Instagram Story said.

While Kardashian doesn’t cite the precise medical reason for needing surgery, she does share that she experienced fear and anxiety about her current pregnancy in recent days.

“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery,” she continues.

“I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”

Kardashian, 44, shares her three children—sons Reign, 8, and Mason, 13, plus daughter Penelope, 11—with her ex, Scott Disick. She first announced she was expecting her fourth child with Barker in June and shared the news publicly in the most adorable way.

“Praise be to God,” Kardashian concludes her post. “Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.”
