Ime Udoka Responds To Nia Long’s Request For Full Custody Of Their 11-Year-Old Son

Ime Udoka has reportedly responded to his ex-fiancée, Nia Long’s filing for full custody of their 11-year-old son Kez last month.

The couple split in December after dating for about 13 years. Their split followed allegations of infidelity by Udoka.

According to court documents reportedly obtained by Radar Online, Ime Udoka opposes Long’s request for full, primary custody of their 11-year-old son, Kez.

Additionally, the 46-year-old reportedly requests that he and Long be awarded joint “legal and physical” custody of the child. The father is also reportedly seeking visitation rights with Kez.

Lastly, Ime Udoka has also reportedly opposed his ex-fiancée’s request that he cover her attorneys’ fees.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Long filed a petition requesting “sole physical and legal custody” of Kez with the Los Angeles Superior Court in August.

According to Radar Online, the actor accused Udoka of failing “to support” their child in the filing.

Additionally, Long requested that the court give Udoka “reasonable visitation” with Kez that will be “consistent with the child’s best interest.”

The 52-year-old also asked that Ime Udoka cover the costs of her attorneys’ fees.

Long and Udoka split after a 13-year relationship. The pair reportedly met in 2009 and became engaged in 2015.

However, in September 2022, Udoka was discovered to have had an “intimate relationship” with a female staff member of the Boston Celtics.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter following the split, Long explained that the affair was “very disappointing” to her and her son. Additionally, she noted that a “very private situation” was “made public.”

At the time, the 52-year-old shared how her son was handling the news.

Since then, Nia Long has reportedly stated that she will “continue to focus” on her children, Kez and her adult son Massai Zhivago Dorsey II, from a previous relationship, as per PEOPLE.
