On Wednesday, Joseph Aloba, the father of late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, appeared in a coroner’s court, stating that his son’s wife, Wunmi Aloba, was involved in an adulterous relationship before his death.
Mr Aloba was spotted, alongside Mohbad’s mum and wife, arriving at the Lagos State High Court, Ikorodu, for the committee report of the Corona inquest into the death of young singer Mohbad.
Mohbad’s father testified in coroner’s court today of how the Singer’s wife occasionally put sleeping tablets in his food.
According to Joseph, his daughter-in-law had been unfaithful to the deceased.
He said;
“I don’t trust his wife. My son told me she always put sleeping pills in his noodles and went to another room to sleep with another signee in the same house.”
Mr Aloba also testified that the deceased’s landed property was in the custody of his mother-in-law, adding that the deceased often told him about his possessions held by his wife and her family
.
Joseph told the Coroner, Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, that he and his son lived together for 18 years.
The late singer’s dad said that he did not know the exact house in which his late son was living with Marley. He testified that his son left his (Joseph‘s) house at the age of consent and began to assist Marley while embarking on his career in music.
Joseph Aloba said that he saw the deceased three days before his death. He added that he saw the deceased’s casket only in a picture.
According to him, his deceased son assured him that he would be able to handle his dispute with Marley.
