Singer, Jidenna recounts how he manipulated women and ‘robbed them of their baby-making years’

Nigerian-American singer, Jidenna Theodore Mobisson, better known as Jidenna, has reflected on his past behavior of manipulating and mistreating women.

The ‘Bambi’ crooner shared his thoughts in a video posted on social media while speaking on how he has reached a point of reconsidering his concept of “masculinity.”

He acknowledged that he had taken away some women’s prime years for starting a family and manipulated them into believing that they would never find someone better than him, using comments like “No one will ever love you like I do.”

As he soberly reflected on this, the 38-year-old singer admitted to leading these women on while they contributed to his growth.

“Look at me now. And look at them,” he said.

Speaking on how he dragged them along, he said, “If you were a creative, I folded you into my art work. If you were in my art work, I gave you a job. I gave you a job, I mastered your life. I gave you a house, food, everything you need. I protected and provided for you. I did what men are supposed to do.”

In conclusion, Jidenna said he is ashamed of the things he did to women.

Jidenna Theodore Mobisson was born on May 4, 1985, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, to Tama Mobisson, an accountant, and Oliver Mobisson, a Nigerian Igbo academic.

Mobisson grew up partially in Nigeria, where his father was working as a professor of computer science at Enugu State University.

When Mobisson was six years old, the family moved back to the United States due to a failed kidnapping attempt.

In 1995, the family moved to Norwood, Massachusetts, and then to Milton in 2000. His father died in 2010.

In his memo, the 38-year-old detailed the personal decision. “After much prayer and deliberation, I’ve decided to discontinue my performances on the Age Of Pleasure tour,” began the lengthy upload. “I’ve experienced a tremendous amount of losses this year and I am tired. My spirit is heavy.
