Award-winning Nigerian artist, Davido is in tears on this year’s Father’s Day because he misses his late son Ifeanyi Adeleke.
The father of three, who is celebrating his first Father’s Day since his son Ifeanyi Adeleke’s death, said on Instagram that it is a terrible day for him.
However, he is grateful for God’s strength, because he knows that some days will be like this.
Davido wrote:
“Difficult Father’s Day for me… But I thank God for strength.
Some days will be like this
Water full my eyes but I’ll be alright FOREVER”.
Davido and his wife Chioma Rowland lost their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, just a few days after his third birthday in October 2022.
According to reports, Ifeanyi Adeleke drowned. “The boy was inside water for too long, and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital,” a family source claimed under anonymity as Nigerians awaited an official statement.
Ifeanyi Adeleke was reportedly taken to Evercare Hospital in Lekki, where he was pronounced dead.
