Sex addict who slept with over 700 men reveals what sparked her addiction

Former sex addict and The Bachelor star Belinda ‘Love’ Rygier has revealed what she believes caused her addiction.

At the height of her compulsion, Rygier bedded over 700 men and went clubbing six times a week to sustain her sexual appetites.

These days, the 40-year-old Australian star has been in recovery for almost a decade and works as an Intuitive Love-Confidence Coach helping others heal themselves.

On Thursday (September 22), she spoke out about her struggles with sex addiction on Studio 10, revealing the key reason that sparked her compulsive sex behavior.

Belinda Rygier began by explaining how her struggles with addiction were rooted in childhood experiences.

“For me, I believe it really stems from your attachment style from childhood,” she said on the program, adding: “If you have an insecure relationship with your family.”

Belinda shared that from nightclubs to supermarkets, she would hook up with random guys anywhere possible.

Speaking of how she hit rock bottom, the love coach stated that her out-of-control addiction came to a head when one of these men became abusive but was later informed that she could not press charges as she had scratched the man while defending herself.

Now recovering, Belinda, runs empowerment boot camps to help others beat their addiction.

This is not the first time Rygier has spoken openly about her struggles with sex addiction. Earlier this summer, the reality star chatted on the radio show You’re A Grub Mate! about how she first realized she had a problem.

“I didn’t know I had the problem until I healed it. The issue was with my relationships and I kept attracting toxic men,” she explained.

Belinda Rygier went on to describe how her addiction “ruled [her] life”, saying: “I was a functioning addict.” She also revealed that she had lost track of how many people she had slept with, but that the number was “above 700”.

Now that she is in recovery, the star and life coach explained that she wants to use sex for intimacy rather than “a quick validation.”

“I will be having sex again but with someone I have a connection with,” she added.
