A young lady is confused because her boyfriend proposed to her but insists that she closes her bank account so that they can operate a joint account once they are married.
According to the lady who is a branch manager, her boyfriend said her salary must be paid into their joint account to prove she will be submissive to him.
Read her story:
My boyfriend of four years proposed to me last night and I said yes with all my heart but he mentioned something that got me annoyed. I now have mixed feelings about marrying him.
He said that once we get married, I will close down my bank then we will open a joint account then I will submit the joint account as my salary account to my company so that they can pay my salary directly into the account.
I am a branch manager in my company and I earn more than my boyfriend. His salary is not even up to half of my own.
The worst part of this whole thing is that he gave me an ultimatum. He said that the marriage proposal will be canceled if I don’t agree to his terms.
He said this is a way to prove to him that I will be a submissive wife. He added that immediately we get married, we are one so we need to be transparent with each other and do things as one.
