It is sad that when you tell Nigerian women to stop putting up with men who clearly don’t love and respect them, they will tell you that no man is perfect and that age is no longer on their side.
They tell you that you have to manage the man in your life. They insist that women should stop being choosy because menopause is around the corner. They try to justify their decisions of being in bad relationships.
But when these same women see other sensible women who refuse to settle for losers and abusive men being treated like Queens, they will start saying these women used charm on their men.
Of course, they used their charm well. They know who they are, they know what they want, they know how they want to be treated and trashed irresponsible men who didn’t fit into the kind of relationship they want.
So, if you continue accommodating irresponsible and disrespectful men because you think time is going and you must get married to please society, you have to live with the consequences of your decision.
These women who love to suffer to keep unwilling men should stop being envious of other women who are deliberate about their relationships. Learn from them and do better.
I have seen women who are in toxic and abusive marriages shame single ladies about not being married yet and I start to wonder why any sensible young lady should listen to such women in the first place.
I mean, these women are treated worse than doormats, they are slapped, kicked, beaten, cheated on, verbally abused, are not regarded by the men they have sex and children with, yet they think they have the right to marriage shame single ladies?
Sighs. Nigerian women, stop justifying your bad relationship decisions with no man is perfect. We know no man is perfect but your man shouldn’t be the devil making you live in hell all the time.
